Intermediate Jewellery Workshop - Make your own ring w/ cast-in-place gemstones

This one-on-one intermediate workshop is perfect for anyone who has previously undertaken any introductory or beginners jewellery workshop or short course, please feel free to contact me if you would like to check if your experience is adequate.

This workshop is ideal for anyone with some prior experience in making jewellery or working with the lost wax method. In this workshop you will learn several methods for setting gems in wax to be cast in place.

What will be covered;
- Making a basic ring out of wax
- Basic tools needed
- Setting gemstones into wax
- The dos and donts of working with gemstones
- Different setting styles and techniques 

Your workshop fee covers tea & snacks on the day, as well as the casting costs of one of your rings made on the day with up to four gemstones (ring must weigh under 15g). Your ring will be finished by SGS and posted to you within two weeks after your workshop. If you would like your item cast in another metal, such as gold or platinum, an additional payment on the day may be made to cover the extra costs of this material. 

Workshops are held in Clifton Hill, Victoria. Classes are one-on-one to ensure maximum learning potential, however, if you would like to undertake a workshop with a friend please contact me here to organise.

2. Closed footwear must be worn on the day.
